Von der Leyen signs off first of EU Covid recovery fund plans | Coronavirus
The president of the European Commission has said she believes a £20bn Covid recovery fund would be the best way to raise European debt to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, amid concerns the bloc is struggling to cope with the crisis.
