Global warming set to reach 1 . 5C in the near - term , UN reports
A new report on climate change says global warming must fall by almost half by 2030 for the world to have any hope of limiting the amount of CO2 emissions to 1.5C above pre-industrial temperatures, according to the UK's Financial Times.
