Rio Tinto to acquire Chilean exploration assets and enter joint venture with Codelco

The world’s largest copper producer, Rio Tinto, has agreed to buy a stake in one of the world's biggest oil producers, which is owned by the Chilean state of Atacama, for $45m (£27m).
