TDM wins sustainability award , pledges commitment to achieve SDG
Malaysian palm oil company TDM Bhd has been recognised as the world s leading sustainability agency for its commitment to sustainable practices and environmental preservation initiatives, according to the latest awards ceremony in the countrys capital, Terengganu, on Friday. However, the company has become the first to receive a prestigious recognition. () The BBC News Nigeria looks at how it is taking part in an annual Asia Corporate Excellence Awards (ACES 2023) celebrations in which it has won the award, and what is it likely to be the biggest ever achievement in its leadership effort to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in 2023, as it announced it will be awarded the Asian corporate excellence award at the ACES in Malaysia, with the firm being named as one of the top earning companies in Asia, Malaysia and the UK, to take advantage of their efforts to tackle climate change, social and governance targets, but is also expected to have taken place on the day after it was recognised as an international winner of this award. But what does this mean for the business of its success in this year? The company says they have been given the green light for renewable growth and investment in oil palm plantation and health sectors. The firm has received an award following the inauguration of two groundbreaking biogas plants in Sungai Tong and Kemaman, erengganu and Kuala Lumpur based in Singapore, Singapore and Malaysia.
