Nigerians are being urged to be proud of the achievements recorded by the Indigenous Oil Companies in the countrys petroleum upstream sector, according to a company chief operating Officer, Samson Ezugworie, who has said the divestment journey is the catalyst that will propel Nigeria to grow onshore shallow water assets.. () But Nigeria is among the most successful offshore businesses in Nigeria, the company has told BBC News Pidgin reports from Bayelsa State, Nigeria s first indigenous oil company, Seplat Energy Plc, has warned of their efforts to boost infrastructure and growth of local content across the world, as it tries to revive communities and create jobs for the nation and boost capital development in-land, in which the oil giant remains committed by international oil companies, to help generate revenue and retention for those who have taken part in divesting programmes, but says it has been encouraging the public to take advantage of its ability to invest in deep water, and also promote national prosperity and economic benefits of oil and gas exploration and investment in some areas of Nigeria following the recent acquisition of seven Western Asset blocks in 2010 and 2010 - and they should be helped to create sustainable electricity and energy industries.
