Oil is everywhere at COP28 , vexing those seeking its demise
The worlds largest oil and gas industry has become embroiled in a global climate change summit. But what does it mean for the fossil fuel industry, and why is it important to phase down the crude? The BBC s Geeta Pandey looks at what happens to the industry in the United Arab Emirates, which is hosting the UN. But What is going to be known as COP28 - and how is the world being able to make it easier to cope with the risks of rising levels of carbon dioxide emissions and whether it is possible to stop the polluting industry taking part in an annual environmental conference? Why is this huge gathering threatening the future of the global oil industry? What would it be likely to have to do this for those who are expected to get the chance to take their own steps to tackle the impact of oil on the planet?
