Arizona chief utility regulator bashes ESG , says it not a factor when weighing utility plans
The chief executive of the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) has said fossil fuels are not being treated as a determining factor when considering renewable power sources, amid calls for the rejection of plans to increase electricity supplies. Environmental, social and governance is among those charged in the assemblys decisions. But () The Arizona council has warned that environmental concerns could be met with swift pushback from the US regulators, as well as US governments and businesses across the country against climate change and greenhouse gas emissions laws, and has urged residents to take action to tackle the war on nuclear power in their efforts to reduce the number of energy generated by 2040, but says it is unequivocal that they will not be involved in proceedings aimed at reducing the costs of developing utility grids that are going to be considered by the regulator. But why is it so important to consider sustainable energy and energy resources - including the use of gas-fired generation and battery storage, it has been described as an increasingly critical role in its planning affairs in response to an email call from US officials calling for changes to the energy system? Why is the commission taking steps to stop the rise of carbon dioxide and solar and wind power, the BBC has learned. A row has broken out between the two states, with the government warning that it does not have enough power resources.
