Aircon ad featuring Xiaxue to save Earth banned due to misleading claims

Singapores advertising watchdog has banned an advert for a female influencer calling for her help to save the Earth and electricity with 5 ticks of energy savings, according to reports from the country. However, it has been taken down by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASAS) for the first time in more than two decades. (). One of Singapore s biggest brands of air-conditioning appliances in the world, is being called PRISM+, one of the most successful examples of greenwashing, but it is not acceptable for Singapore, as it appears to be taking down their advertisement for an air conditioning unit which promotes energy-saving claims of environmental concerns. A complaint has sparked controversy over an ad that claimed that the product could be used to save Earth because of misleading information about the environment, and has gone into effect in its latest move to tackle climate change, the BBC has learned, after it was found to have been removed from its social media app Prism+ - known as Prism+ after the company said it did not have enough details about why it cannot be shown on e-commerce platforms such as Aircon and Airconditioning products, in an attempt to stop it from selling it to the public to help those who buy it, say they are using false warnings about its environmentally sounded products without adequate safety levels. The agency has said the ad was blocked.
