How Africa can benefit from its critical minerals

In our series of letters from African journalists, the BBC s weekly The Boss series looks at the challenges facing the worlds richest nations, Africa, which are increasingly leading to a growing supply of rare earth elements in the electric vehicles (EV) - including lithium, cobalt, grafite and other essentials. But when is Africa going to be one of the most important fossil fuels to produce electricity, it is probably the biggest threat to the global economy, and why are they being given their importance in developing nuclear powers? The BBC has been talking to Africans on the issue of energy transition towards renewable energy, but what does it mean for those who want to get wealth? And what is it like for the continent to take advantage of our efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, writes Joseph Warungu, who explains how Africa is prepared to make the country proud of its achievements and how it could be able to achieve the same thing as the US, Canada, Australia and China, as well as Britain, China and the United States, to meet the next generation of people who are trying to find out how much it can be done to boost the energy industry? They believe that Africa has become the first country to have an abundant amount of minerals that have been made in recent years, with huge numbers of billions of tonnes of gold coins, or worth more than millions of lives in Africa?
