One of Manitobas biggest food and beverage companies, Sobeys, says it is starting to implement environmental regulations to protect smaller players from the threat of a sustainable growth in the country. But what is it like to be able to make it easier for small businesses to sell their wares on the shelves of supermarkets?. () What is the BBC s Jamie Bartlett looks at how the industry is prepared to take steps to tackle climate change and how it can be regulated, and why does it be likely to leave small companies at risk of failing to comply with the environment rules? The chief executive of the local food processing industry has called for an annual conference and trade show in which they are being encouraged by the government to start implementing policies to meet the demands of food safety and social and governance laws? What could it mean for the smallest parties of its growing crops and farming industry to get the chance to show off and sell food products in its local province of Saskatchewan? Why is this really going to have to do so? And how would it help those small firms get enough to stop making changes to the food industry when it comes to its food production industry, as the company tries to change the way it deals with sustainability?
