The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has launched a capacity-building programme to tackle climate change challenges in the state, saying the agency is committed to improving their ability to deal with environmental issues in its state. However, the government has said it will increase its enforcement measures towards achieving an improved environment. But Nigeria has revealed that hundreds of Nigerians have been sealed for noise pollution and other infractions in Nigeria, including illegal container terminals and night clubs which were closed for the last three months, as part of efforts to improve the countrys sustainable development agenda, and ensure the local authorities are fully aware of how they could be able to avoid hazardous levels of polluting and contaminated buildings.
