NY Attorney General sues JBS for misleading consumers about products
The US justice department has filed a lawsuit against two food companies accused of falsely advertising their commitment to sustainability, including deforestation in the Amazon and destruction of the US Amazon rainforest. Environmentalists are being urged to stop the company from pursuing claims that it is misleading consumers about its impact on the Earth.. (). The BBC s Larry Madowo looks at the actions of two companies which claimed that they have failed to limit emissions from beef production and consumption by 2040 to net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) is facing legal action in New York, accusing them of failing to make environmental damage to the environment.
