Quebec businesses are facing a higher risk of being victimised by fraud, according to new research from KPMG in Canada. Environmental sustainability-related financial data and climate related disclosures are among the most common scams they have experienced in their corporations - but the risk is increasing in the Canadian economy, the BBC. () What is it likely to be one of Canada s worst-ever environmental scandals, and what could be the biggest threat of fraud across the country. The latest report has revealed that one in 10 business leaders are deeply concerned about the new and emerging type of scam which has emerged as the most-common scam in recent years, but experts have warned of the dangers of an increase in fraud at the firms that have been affected by corporate failures and new regulations, as well as spending targets and regulatory changes.
