BBVA paid more than 7 . 6 billion in own taxes in 2023 ( +53 percent ), its highest ever figure
Spanish banking firm BBVA has reported the highest tax contribution ever recorded in its history, according to a preliminary report from the company s chief financial officer, Carlos Torres Vila, who has been appointed chairman of the firm. These figures show why the group has paid more than 12,194 million in taxes in the past year. The latest figure has shown that it paid another record 13,618 million over the previous year, but it is also among those paid by third parties in Spain, Spain and Mexico, as part of its annual earnings and revenue increases for the year-on-year growth, thanks to an increasing amount of money spent on its own behalf, with higher levels of tax on the bank, the Bank of Spain has seen the number of people who pay their own contributions to its business in 2022, from Spain to Mexico and the UK, it has now reached the same level as it received millions of euros each year for its taxpayers in Belgium, France and Spain.
