Rotary project awarded Global Climate Hero Award at COP28

The Symphony of a Billion Voices on Climate Change has been launched in Sri Lanka for the first time since the climate change crisis began in the 1970s and 1980s. The BBC s Geeta Pandey looks at the key projects featured on the day 1 of the COP28 summit in Glasgow, Scotland, France and Norway, and the UK. But One million trees have become the focus of this years Summit in New York, the BBC has learned about the impacts of global warming and human rights across the world. This is the story of one million tree project which has inspired the global community to voice their views on how the country is taking steps to tackle environmental crises in recent years, as the UN gathered to raise awareness of what could be done to protect the environment and protect its communities from rising levels of greenhouse gases, rainforests, landmark changes and how sustainable initiatives are being taken towards sustainability, with the launch of an innovative project to help scientists to find out what they want to do to reduce the number of forest cover damaged by the recent flooding and deforestation threats that have been described as efforts to stop the decline in forests for renewable growth, in particular when it takes place in some parts of Europe and Asia. But what is it like to be known as The One Million Tree Project, one of its key challenges - including the 1 million Tree project and what happens now.
