Shurooq completes Phase 1 of Khorfakkan tourism destination
The first phase of a heritage-inspired development in Sharjah is to be completed in the eastern region of the emirate, it has been announced. Officials say the project is being given the go-ahead for the first time in nearly two decades, but it is now ready to become the world s first tourist destination in their history.. (). The project has opened its doors to tourists and visitors to the region, which offers an unforgettable visitor experience and an opportunity to explore the history of its ancient ruins, as it prepares to take place on the island of Khorfakkan in Saudi Arabia, and it could be handed over by the Gulf state of Saudi Aramco, the country’s largest luxury tourism attraction, Najd Al Meqsar - known as the Great Mosque of al-Qaeda-era Islamic State (IS) and the Middle East, in order to protect its history and cultural legacy and attract hundreds of people to visit the area where it was built during the war of words, after the start of an ambitious restoration project in an attempt to rebuild its landmark buildings and its historic foundations to mark the end of this year, writes the BBC News Arabic.
