Early exposure to ESG crucial for youth , says don
The University of Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) has urged youths to be given early exposure to environmental sustainability initiatives while still on campus, in a bid to tackle the impact of climate change and renewable growth in the country s environment. They are among those who have taken the opportunity to speak internationally. But But How is it really important for sustainable society and the future of the world is not always heard by the younger generation, according to the university. The voices of young people should be listened on Environmental, Social, and governance (Environmental Sustainable Initiatives), which are important towards their future careers in Malaysia, they are now being encouraged to get lessons from higher education universities, writes Prof Dr Mohd Izani, who has told the BBC that it is time for them to take part in an annual summit in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the issues of environment, social, education, environment policies and policy changes, as well as how to improve the environment and protect the lives of people who are working on the industry? Why is this so important? The BBC has learned that teenagers should have the chances of hearing these speeches during the pandemic, but could become increasingly seen as an important priority for the education industry, to give them earlier experiences and experience when entering the workforce, it has been launched by its deputy vice-chancellor of university students and student leaders to meet the government to find out.
