World Bank Amazon reforestation outcome bond breaks new ground

The world s largest ever outcome bond has been given to private investors in the Amazon region, which has become the first in Latin America to carry out a huge amount of funding for reforestation projects in their tropical rainforest, Amazon and Acre plantations, the World Bank has confirmed. These are among the latest reports. But The US economy is being encouraged to take part in an innovative use of carbon removal units linked to the development of Amazon trees and tree-planting projects, as part of the world’s biggest environmental project to be supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and HSBC - including the US, Brazil, Mexico and Brazil. The Brazilian company says it is now offering funds to help boost the global climate change efforts to tackle the impact of greenhouse gas emissions from the Earth. But what does this mean for those who have spent millions of years using these bonds to support sustainable development projects across the continent? Why is it worth more than $300m (£400m) in its annual effort to boost renewable energy and energy revenues, and how could it be used to fund regeneration of CO2 (CO2) from carbon from avoided emissions and carbon-removal projects? What is the best way to invest in this giant debt? The BBC understands how it can be scaled up significantly, but why is this one of its most influential financial deals for the next year?.
