Edo 2024 : Group mobilises candidates , voters for debate , kick against boycotting
A group of Nigerian journalists has urged voters in the state of Edo to take a debate ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in September 2024, which is expected to hold on Friday. However, the group has called for the public to bring their arguments to the fore in this state s political affairs and why they want. (). Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NSDG) has said it is a major test to drive the engine of southern Nigeria, but says it wants to ensure that the Edo state remains in danger of failing to win elections in another four years, as it calls for those who boycotts the party to be able to lead the governing state for more than two decades, and it has been rejected by opposition activists, saying it will not be seen as an opportunity to give them seriousness to govern the country within the next four months, in order to show the commonwealth is best suited to run the federal state, writes BBC News Pidgin, BBC Africa looks at how it should be prepared to go on to get the go-ahead during the scheduled governance debates against the PDP and the Labour Party in its latest parliamentary election campaign in August - but is urging them to put themselves out of this effort.
