Rachael, prior to her current position as Interim Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at Rolls Royce, has garnered significant recognition in the procurement sector. She was honored as Team of the Year and Overall Winner at the 2020 CIPS Procurement Excellence Awards, and was a Finalist at the 2020 World Procurement Awards for Transformation, reflecting her exceptional contributions as CPO at Johnson Matthey. During her tenure at Johnson Matthey, Rachael played a pivotal role in steering the company towards achieving net zero, advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, and mitigating supply risks. She established a focused procurement function aimed at increasing sustainable value, while also promoting gender balance and inclusion, equity, and diversity within the global procurement team. With over 30 years of experience, Rachael has aided numerous organizations in reaching strategic goals by leveraging their procurement and supply chains. Her expertise as a board and business advisor, as well as her interim executive roles, have been instrumental in business turnarounds, post-merger integration, and carve-outs across privately owned aerospace, chemical, and automotive industries. In her current role at Rolls Royce, Rachael is instrumental in aiding the company s group transformation. She is also concentrating on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing supply chain resilience, energy transition, and sustainability. As she continues her journey, Rachael is pursuing her Executive MBA at Warwick Business School.
