First official partners of COP29 in Azerbaijan announced

The first official partners of COP29 in Azerbaijan have been announced, including SOCAR Green, PASHA Holding, and Azersun Holding. These partnerships underscore a collective commitment to sustainable practices and global climate goals. The partners will engage with the Azerbaijan National Pledge Programme, which aims to measure businesses potential to meet climate goals and formulate future ESG strategies. They will also participate in consultation and training sessions provided by the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company. The partnership with COP29 allows these businesses to demonstrate their role in advancing green policies and supporting the global community in keeping the 1.5C target within reach. The Green Zone will host a diverse mix of organizations showcasing climate-friendly products and solutions, with a full schedule of focused programs, including presentations, networking events, workshops, briefings, and music. Narmin Jarchalova, COP29 s Chief Operating Officer, expressed her welcome for the partnership and highlighted the importance of the event in negotiating international climate policies and fostering global cooperation. Elmir Musayev, CEO of SOCAR Green, emphasized their commitment to leading Azerbaijan s transition to a sustainable future. Mir Jamal Pashayev, Deputy Chairman of PASHA Holding, stated that COP29 will be instrumental in advancing their sustainability efforts.
