Haruko Satoh , Author at Fair Observer
Haruko Satoh serves as a specially appointed professor at the Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP), Osaka University, and holds the position of director of international collaboration at the ESG-Integration Research & Education Center at OSIPP. Additionally, she is a guest lecturer at the Value Research Center, Doshisha University School of Business. Currently, she leads the Peace and Human Security in Asia: Toward a Meaningful Japan-Korea Partnership project, which is supported by the Korea Foundation. Prior to her current roles, Haruko has worked at the Japan Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, and Gaiko Forum. She has a strong academic background, having studied at Mount Holyoke College in the US, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies – Bologna Center, and the University of Cambridge in the UK. Haruko s research interests lie in state theory, Japanese nationalism, and identity politics. In her spare time, she enjoys reading spy novels, DJ-ing, and savoring good red wine.
