Haulage firm grows food storage and distribution offer with 10 - year lease
Campeys of Selby, a specialist family-owned haulage company based in North Yorkshire, has secured a 10-year lease for a 61,065 sq ft warehouse at Konect62, a new logistics and industrial scheme in Knottingley. The first phase of Konect62, built on the site of the former Kellingley Colliery, offers 375,000 sq ft of logistics and industrial space, with an additional 30-acre serviced plot for a 735,000 sq ft logistics unit. The company plans to expand its storage and distribution services for existing and new customers, with the site meeting BRCGS Food Safety Global Standard and various ISO accreditations. The lease includes first-floor office space, service yard space, and 148 car parking spaces with eight electric vehicle charging points. The site s market-leading ESG credentials align with Campeys of Selby s commitment to safety and sustainability. Konect62 s development manager, Robert Titterton, expressed excitement about the third letting at the site, which is expected to create 2,679 operational on-site employment roles. The first phase is projected to generate 1,500 full-time jobs, with an additional 1,000 jobs anticipated after phase two is completed. Phase two of Konect62 is awaiting planning approval and will add another 802,000 sq ft of logistics and manufacturing space. The total potential space at Konect62 is 1.9 million sq ft, with Campeys of Selby s lease being the third to secure the site. The company s expansion plans are expected to further boost the region s business opportunities.
