Freeths , Freshfields and Vodafone take top prizes at Legal Business Awards

The Legal Business Awards, hosted by Clive Myrie and introduced by Georgina Stanley, celebrated the achievements of various legal firms and individuals. Freeths emerged as the law firm of the year, narrowly defeating Freshfields, which was highly commended. Freshfields double-digit growth and B Corp certification were notable highlights. The firm also played a significant role in the Post Office inquiry. Other top winners included Freshfields for corporate and competition team of the year, DLA Piper s Adam Ibrahim and Wim Dejonghe for Lawyer and Management Partner of the Year, respectively. Paul Weiss, a US law firm, was recognized for its rapid expansion in the London legal market. Vodafone received the In-house Team of the Year award for its successful handling of a merger, litigation defense, and major transformation project. The Legal Technology Team of the Year was shared by TLT and Vodafone for their digital dawn raid simulator. GC of the Year was Katie Charles from Everton Football Club, while Edward Henry KC from Mountford Chambers won the Barrister of the Year. The charity partner for the event was Hand in Hand International. The awards recognized the best in the Bar, in-house, and legal technology sectors, with various firms and individuals receiving highly commended honors.
