Evogen , PolliKnow , SoloBook , UnitMode named New Frontiers Award winners

The winners of the 2024 New Frontiers (Phase 2) Programme, delivered by IADT Media Cube in partnership with NovaUCD, were announced on September 26, 2024. The program, funded by Enterprise Ireland, saw 11 early-stage start-ups from the greater South Dublin area compete over six months. The winners, Evogen, PolliKnow, SoloBook, and UnitMode, were recognized for their innovative solutions and potential for growth. Evogen, a data-driven platform for genetic selection in dairy farming, won the One to Watch award, sponsored by NovaUCD. Co-founder Andrew Moore expressed his passion for transforming the genetic selection process to help dairy farmers thrive. PolliKnow, which developed a device to measure wild insect pollinators, won the Most Likely to Succeed award, sponsored by DLR Local Enterprise Office. Co-founder Meg Brennan highlighted the program s role in advancing their journey. SoloBook, an AI-powered travel platform for solo travelers, won the Best Pitch award, sponsored by IADT Media Cube. Co-founder Pierre Yimbog celebrated the milestone in building a safer travel community. UnitMode, a marketing SaaS that eliminates greenwashing risks, won the Most Likely to Scale award, sponsored by Flynn O Driscoll. Co-founder Seán Boyle emphasized the transformative experience of the program and the valuable conversations it facilitated. Thirty-six start-ups have now completed the three IADT Media Cube/NovaUCD New Frontiers Programmes, providing entrepreneurs with mentorship, funding support, and access to resources. The program aims to deepen understanding of target markets and develop innovative product-market solutions. The winners join the esteemed New Frontiers community of founders who have completed the program at the Institute of Art, Design & Technology.
