Four start - ups win big at 2024 New Frontiers programme

This year s Phase 2 New Frontiers programme recognized four start-ups—Evogen, PolliKnow, SoloBook, and UnitMode—for their potential as successful businesses. The programme, funded by Enterprise Ireland and delivered by IADT Media Cube in partnership with NovaUCD, involved 11 early-stage start-ups from the greater South Dublin area. The event, held in Dún Laoghaire, concluded with the announcement of the winners. Evogen, a data-driven platform focused on genetic selection in dairy farming, won the One to Watch Award. Co-founder Andrew Moore expressed his passion for transforming the genetic selection process to help dairy farmers thrive. PolliKnow, which developed a device using advanced sensors and computer vision to measure the presence of wild insect pollinators, won the Most Likely to Succeed Award. Co-founder Meg Brennan highlighted the program s role in their journey. SoloBook, an AI-powered travel platform for solo travelers, received the Best Pitch Award. UnitMode, a marketing SaaS platform aimed at eliminating greenwashing risks, won the Most Likely to Scale Award. Fergal Meegan, CEO of Assiduous, a previous winner, praised the program for providing entrepreneurs with the time and space to figure out their business strategies.
