Evolve Africa Declares Uganda Marketing Excellence Awards 2024
Evolve Africa announced the fourth edition of the Uganda Marketing Excellence Awards (UMEAS) for December 13, 2024, under the theme of Promoting Sustainable Marketing. The awards, now in their fourth year, recognize companies and brands for their marketing successes and business quality. The event will explore how brands and marketers have utilized various media channels to create impactful campaigns from November 2023 to October 2024. Entries for the UMEAS 2024 are open to any organization that has engaged in a marketing campaign with potential to win an award, and participation is free. The Marketing Council, comprising industry professionals, will oversee nominations and the selection of award winners. The council will hold a 60% share in public vote categories, while the public will have a 40% influence on the final decision for six categories. The 2024 UMEAS categories include Advertising campaign of the year, Best use of partnership marketing, Best use of digital marketing, PR Campaign of the year, Best innovation-new product/service, Experiential marketing Campaign of the year, Best Not for profit/Social good campaign, Best ESG campaign, Rising Agency of the year, Agency of the year, Marketing Campaign of the year, and the UMEAs Marketing Pioneer Award. The nomination criteria for the UMEAS 2024 will be based on challenge/problem, originality/creativity, strategy implementation, communication integration, and impact/return on investment. Caroline Ampaire, Head of Media and Digital at Uganda Breweries Ltd, reaffirmed the company s commitment to sustainability in all its marketing efforts. Entries are open now, with a submission deadline of October 31, 2024. The winners will be announced on December 13, 2024, at an awards gala at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
