Hindustan Zinc, India s largest and the world s second-largest integrated zinc producer, has been honored with a Bronze award in the Corporate Above Rs 5000 Cr Turnover category at the 5th TIOL Taxation Awards 2024. The award, presented by notable Indian officials and former RBI Governors, recognizes the company s exemplary tax transparency and corporate governance practices. Hindustan Zinc s commitment to nation-building and its consistent support for the government s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat are highlighted. The company s voluntary tax disclosures showcase its significant contribution to India s economic development, infrastructure growth, and socio-economic well-being. In FY 2023-24, Hindustan Zinc contributed INR 13,195 crore to the exchequer, accounting for nearly 46% of its total revenues.
